Autumn term
The Great Fire of London
We will be learning about the events of the Great Fire of London. The children will plan and create Thomas Farriner's bakery as our class role play area.
To link with this topic in Literacy, we will learn to retell an instruction text, 'How to make bread', and follow these instructions to make our own bread rolls.
We will build our own city of London, using cardboard boxes and, with the support of St Austell fire brigade, recreate the Great Fire of London!
Spring Term
Carnival of the Animals
We will be taking inspiration from Saint-Saen's music, 'The Carnival of the Animals', to explore the wonderful world of animals.
 Summer Term
Oceans and Seas
We will be exploring Oceans and Seas. We will link this topic with our Talk for Writing unit, 'Commotion in the Ocean' and find out more about some of the many wonderful creatures that live in our oceans.
